Ramsgate Design Awards 2023

RHDF members together with Ramsgate Town Council and the Ramsgate Society appraised local projects in a number of categories with the overall winner being Ellington Park regeneration.

Historic England Ramsgate Conservation Area Appraisal

RHDF members worked with Historic England, and received training on how to appraise the four conservation areas and documented Ramsgate’s 13 character areas.

The appraisals formed part of the report produced by Alan Baxter published in April 2022.

Levelling Up Fund

The RHDF was involved in early stage discussions with application consultants PRD who then submitted a successful LUF bid. The LUF is currently focusing on several in projects in Ramsgate; The Clock House, The Smack Boys, Ramsgate Port Green Campus, and Newington Community Centre.

Clock House Repairs

Working with Historic England’s Heritage At Risk Programme, RHDF members were instrumental in undertaking surveys and repair works to the Grade II* listed Clock House.
